Privacy Policy

Everlune is a habit challenge app for iPhone and Android. This policy explains what the app stores, what the people in your circle can see, what Everlune never collects, and how to remove everything. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
- There is no account. You do not give Everlune an email address, a password or a social login.
- You give a first name, three quiz answers and a program choice. That is the setup.
- Your photos and your progress sync to Everlune’s own server so your circle can see them and so you do not lose them.
- Everlune collects no health or fitness data of any kind — no HealthKit, no weight, no measurements, no calorie tracking.
- Your journal entries in The Edit are private and are never shared with your circle.
- Everlune does not sell your information.
What Everlune stores
What you enter at setup
A first name (it can be any name you like), your answers to the three-question quiz, the program you chose, and the length and start date you picked. There is no login, no password, no email address and no connected social account.
Your challenge activity
Which rituals you have ticked off and the time you ticked each one, your current day number, your current streak, your longest streak and your completion rate, and whether you have paused, resumed or restarted a challenge. If you customise a program’s habit list, the edited list is stored too.
Photos you choose to add
A photo attached to a ritual as proof, a daily selfie, and any photo you add to a My Wall collection or post to a Discover group. Photos are uploaded to Everlune’s server. Everlune never reaches into your camera roll on its own — a photo is stored only when you add it.
Your circle
The eight-character invite codes that connect you to your friends, the resulting list of friends, the cheers you send and receive, and which Glimpses have been seen and lit.
Bookmarks and preferences
Recipes you bookmark in the Kitchen, your reminder settings, and the configuration of the home-screen widgets.
Basic technical information
The information needed to run the service and deliver notifications — a device identifier for push, and standard server logs such as request times and error records. These are used to keep the app working, not to build a profile of you.
How the app is used
Everlune uses a product-analytics service, hosted in the European Union, to understand how the app is used and to catch crashes — which screens are opened, which features are used, and what went wrong when something fails. This is linked to your Everlune identifier, not to your name or any contact details, because Everlune holds no contact details. Everlune contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers and no attribution or ad-tracking services.
What Everlune does not collect
- No health or fitness data. Everlune does not connect to HealthKit and does not ask for or store weight, body measurements, calories or any other health metric.
- No email address, password or social account.
- No contacts. Friends are added by invite code only. There is no address-book upload, no public directory and no user search.
- No message content, because there are no messages: Everlune has no chat, no direct messages and no comments.
Who can see what
Your circle
People you have connected with can see your first name, the program you are on, your day number, which of today’s rituals you have ticked and when, and the daily photo you share as a Glimpse. That visibility is the point of a circle — treat anything you tick or photograph as something your friends will see.
Your profile
Your profile — your first name, your handle, your picture and bio if you added them, the program you are on, your day number, your consistency stats and your My Wall collections — can be seen by other people using Everlune, not only by the friends you have added. Everlune has no user search and no public directory, so nobody can browse their way to you, but your profile is not restricted to your circle either. Everlune also records when someone opens your profile, and may let each of you know.
Treat your profile and your Wall as the part of Everlune other people can see, and keep anything you would not want seen out of them.
Discover groups
Discover groups are public community groups with a shared photo feed. Anything you post into a Discover group can be seen by everyone in that group. Do not post anything there you would not want a stranger to see.
Photo links
Photos you upload are served from web addresses that are not listed or published anywhere, but those addresses are not themselves secret — anyone given one can open it. As a general rule, please treat anything you upload as something that could travel beyond the app.
Only you
Your journal entries in The Edit are private. They are never shown to your circle and are never published to a group. Your quiz answers are used to suggest a program and are not shown to anyone else.
Accounts and figures that come from Everlune
Not every profile in Everlune belongs to another member of the public. So that the app is not empty on your first day, some accounts — including a companion who may be paired with you when you join — and some of the activity you see in Discover groups are created and run by Everlune rather than by an independent person. Some numbers shown in the app, such as how many people have joined a program, are illustrative rather than live counts.
Anything you share with such an account is held by Everlune and handled under this policy in exactly the same way as the rest of your data. It is not passed to any other user.
Why Everlune processes this information
- To run the challenge — to show you today’s rituals and keep your progress, streaks and completion rate.
- To make the circle work — to show your friends your progress and to deliver cheers and Glimpses.
- To send the daily reminders and cheer notifications you have enabled.
- To keep the service secure, diagnose faults and prevent abuse.
Where the law requires a legal basis, that basis is the performance of our agreement with you (running the app you asked for), your consent (for notifications and for each photo you choose to upload), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and safe.
Sharing with others
Everlune does not sell your information and does not share it for advertising. Information is disclosed only to:
- Service providers that host the servers, store the photos and deliver push notifications, acting on our instructions and only to run Everlune.
- Your circle and any Discover group you post in, as described above.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to do so, or to protect the safety of a person or the integrity of the service.
Offline use and syncing
Everlune is offline-first. You can tick your rituals with no signal; the app records them on your device and syncs them when you are back online. Until it syncs, your friends will not see that day’s progress.
How long it is kept
Your challenge data and photos are kept while you are using Everlune, so your history, streaks and collections stay intact. When you delete your data, it is removed from the live service promptly and from routine backups within a short retention window. Server logs are kept only as long as they are useful for diagnosing faults and preventing abuse.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual photos and collections in the app at any time. To remove everything, use the delete option in the app’s settings, or contact us at privacy@everlune.app and we will delete your data. Deleting the app from your phone removes the local copy; because there is no login, ask us if you also want the server-side copy erased.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because there is no account and no email address on file, we may need you to make the request from the device running Everlune so we can identify which data is yours.
Children
Everlune is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used Everlune, contact us and we will remove the data.
International transfers
Everlune’s servers and service providers may be located in a country other than yours. Where information is transferred internationally, we use providers that offer appropriate safeguards for that transfer.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on servers protected by access controls. When you upload a photo, Everlune re-processes it and strips the metadata your camera embedded — including any location it recorded — before storing it. No service can promise perfect security, and Everlune has a social layer by design: the people in your circle can see the progress and photos you share with them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be announced in the app.
